Community Gardens at Bayley Park
Whistler Community Services and the Resort Municipality of Whistler are developing community gardens in Whistler's newest residential neighbourhood at Cheakamus Crossing.
A grant from the Environmental Legacy Fund provided seed money for the infrastructure to create the gardens. Community gardens give residents the opportunity to grow their own food and educate the community on food security issues. They offer an affordable means of accessing fresh produce.
The project coordinators collaborated with a landscape design student to create the site plan.
