The Community Foundation of Whistler is proud to have supported the 6th annual In-SHUCK-ch Days Festival. 350 participants attended the two-day festival in August celebrating In-SHUCK-ch culture.
The festival featured 18 workshops, traditional ceremonies, music and games. Activities included drumming and dancing, drum-making, beading, pine needle basket weaving, wood carving, medicinal plants workshop and traditional cuisine, including Xúsum (soapberry) ice-cream making. Actor Dakoka House from North of 60 ran a motivational workshop.
The one hour Archery workshop was so popular that it turned into a 5 hour workshop that was shut down only because of the dark.
